Cooking Class for the Special Needs Community

Individuals with special needs in Phoenix, Arizona now have the opportunity to learn how to cook healthy meals. Thanks to Sprouts Kitchen Network there will be a cooking course offered at First Place Phoenix. Lifestyle expert and New York Times best-selling author, Cheryl Najafi will work alongside the network. The goal is to one day feature cooking videos by Cheryl Najafi.

It is important to teach health and nutrition to all, including how to make smart food choices. In order for these valuable lessons to stick they will teach the basics of nutrition, how to prepare meals, and make smarter food choices. The course will also allow students to grow their own herbs and vegetables.

These courses will be a great step for those individuals who are in the process of learning how to live independently. The ultimate goal of these courses is to create involvement with parents, students, and the community.
